​We aspire to make Toledo a better place and believe the key to that lies in our children. For them to be healthy, the needs of their body, soul, and conscience require a healthy ecology. To nourish their soul, we began to teach the children German with a desire to enrich their minds with a new language and a new culture, thus deepening their being.  We want to seize this opportunity while they are still young to instruct them in new languages and cultures, as children have the capacity to learn so much at this stage of their life. Empowering our children to be multilingual and have a knowledge of multiple cultures will prepare them for the future. As the world changes and becomes more diverse, our cities are changing and truly becoming a “melting pot”.  We can see this in our own city of Toledo, which has become an international city vast with diversity. German class is just one opportunity that Garden Toledo provides to impact children's lives in a meaningful way.
