Learning about airplanes 5.8.2018
At this Garden Toledo event, the kids learned about the basic principles of flight. After the kids had a meal and shared with each other about their week, Jason gave live demonstrations of the basic principles of lift (air pressure differences and Bernoulli's principle). Afterwards, the children participated in a teambuilding activity to construct a paper airplane. The activity was designed to pair one older child with one younger child. The older children were given instructions on how to build the airplane but were challenged to guide the younger children in the construction of the airplane, without touching the paper themselves. Afterwards, a small competition was held to see which team’s airplane stayed in the air the longest.
